I.STAR Docs
From i.STAR Help
Welcome to i.STAR, CAM Commerce Solutions' integrated web storefront!
Getting Started with i.STAR
In the following i.STAR user guides in the Start Up Documentation section below, you will find information that will aid in the implementation.
Please start with the "Quick Checklist" (PDF) and "Implementation Overview" (PDF) document as that will give you the overall view of your implementation. Please read through both of these documents completely.
Fax your estimated Go Live Date to (702) 446-8385 so we can establish a time line for your project.
You will receive a log in to the i.STAR Project Management system where you will be able to collaborate with your i.STAR project manager, upload your logo and other design files, and where you can manage your "To Do" list and Milestone dates for your launch.
The "i.STAR Manual" is the companion you will want to carefully read and use, while getting ready for i.STAR and setting up your Retail STAR database for the webstore.
In Chapter 1, there is a helpful checklist of tasks that both you and CAM need to get done.
Refer to Chapter 3 for the design efforts for your e-commerce site. Fax your completed design questionnaire to (702) 446-8385 and refer to the contact information in the Implementation Overview when you are ready to start your web page design.
Chapter 5 is where you'll be concentrating your efforts to get Retail STAR ready for i.STAR. Follow all the instructions in this chapter. The steps that you have to do first are outlined as "These steps must be completed before giving CAM your database". Adding product pictures and item descriptions is an ongoing process and does not have to be completed before CAM setting up the server for your i.STAR site.
Notify CAM through the i.STAR Project Management system when you are ready for your i.STAR server to be set-up and for a copy of your database to be loaded on it. You service fee billing will start a month after the server setup.
Chapter 8 presents the admin area of your site that you will get access to, after CAM get's a copy of your database and your server is configured. The admin area is where you can add the additional and color images, set-up related items (suggested products), set-up coupon codes for promotions, configure the UPS OnLine® Tools for items weight based shipping cost to destination zip code, and choose from the many layout options available for your product detail and product listing pages.
We look forward to working with you!
